“ They have the crispiest fries! Burgers remind me of summertime cookouts. Hard to find good deals like this place! ”
“ Great place that's been in Gahanna forever it seems. I came on for a burger- and chose one that was recommended by a friend. You need friends like this! Loved the Academy Burger! Swiss cheese, bacon, grilled onions and bacon!!! Cooked perfectly for me and paired nicely with an ice cold beer. They had other options of burgers, but I'm glad I tried this one because it will make me a return customer. Great service by the team there, friendly and genuinely helpful. Sometimes you go to a place and the staff seem like they are just baiting you for a better tip- but not here. It was all part of the ambiance, the history, the feel of the place that made me say it was worth the drive, worth the price- which was not bad at all- and worth revisiting. ”
“ Old time fave! Great burgers. Great environment. Nice beer selection on tap. Full bar. Great service. We arrived at 6 on a Friday night and by 7 there was a line out the door. Did I say great burgers?! And o-rings too. Still a fan after all these years. ”
“ Super cute place with a last minute decision to stop, thankfully they were able to get us in quickly. The place has a warming rustic fell, with plently of good times to be had. Food; We started with the Hummus Appetizer, and it was delicious and crisp. The meal, I ordered the wrap Buffalo Wrap and it was so good, the chicken and all the extras were a perfect blend. I would definietly try if you are in the area. Service, our server was super nice and outgoing. ”
“ Another delicious hamburger ( Beanie burger of course)! Sat outside and service was great! Beautiful evening for a dinner out with friends. I ordered the Beanie burger with a sweet potato, both were delicious! I ate half of the burger and took the other half home to hubby! ”
“ Used to come all the time when I worked at the airport and lived on this side of town. Always got the Beanie burger, it seems like. Different and good. Today I found myself nearby with just enough time, and stopped in. Didn't feel like a Beanie. But they have several other intriguing burgers, plus other sandwiches, wings, etc. I got a bowl of the cabbage hamburger soup to start. Warm, hearty, kinda like vegetable soup or deconstructed cabbage rolls. Tasty but subtle. I went with a bleu burger. Perfect, thick burger, good bun, just enough bleu cheese to add flavor and creaminess but not overwhelming- perfect balance. Just, yum. And, excellent fries, battered I think. Plus cole slaw- finely chopped and creamy, same as the Beanie burger. Good on its own too. Great service. Reasonable prices. Cramped lot in back, outdoor seating out front, dark and cozy inside. A local legend, for a reason. Sorry I stayed away so long. ”
“ My father took my wife and I here after our arrival to Columbus last month. The restaurant had a good crowd but there were empty tables. My wife and I shared a Hamburger and Cabbage Soup, a Cajun Melt, and Fish and Chips that were all very yummy along with very tall drafts of both Columbus Brewing Company and BrewDog which were also amazing. My father had both the Hamburger and Cabbage Soup and Chicken Tenders which he also enjoyed. He particularly recommended the Hamburger and Cabbage Soup which is a great way to start a meal here. The staff is very friendly and It has the decor is that of a local tavern which we loved. ”
